Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an HGV Class 1 Driver located in Chesterfield. The HGV Class 1 Driver will be responsible for operating trucks efficiently and safely, adhering to all DOT regulations, and ensuring timely deliveries. Daily tasks include loading and unloading cargo, conducting vehicle inspections, maintaining logbooks, and communicating with dispatchers and customers. The driver will also be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle.
Qualifications
* Valid CDL Class A license and Truck Driving skills
* Experience with loading and unloading cargo
* Knowledge of DOT Regulations
* Proficient in truck and vehicle inspections
* Excellent time management and organizational skills
* Strong communication skills for interacting with dispatchers and clients
* Ability to work independently and maintain a clean driving record
* Previous experience in the transportation industry is a plus
