ABP Linden have an exciting opportunity based in our Retail site for a Dispatch Operative
Responsibilities:
* To carry out duties allocated by supervisors/line leaders daily.
* Prepare, check and verify stock to ensure stock is identified correctly.
* Palletise and locate stock in accordance with specifications.
* Ensure stock is picked in rotation and pallets are prepared in a timely manner for despatch.
* To adhere to safe working practices in accordance with legislation and company rules and regulations
* To work in a manner as to prevent or minimize the risk of accidents.
* To adhere to current legislation with regards to safe food production
* To comply with mangers/supervisor's instructions in a timely manner
* To ensure full understanding of all instructions given and ask for clarification if necessary.
* To undertake such other reasonable duties as may from time to time be required.
* Carry out all duties with respect for Health and Safety and housekeeping standards and regulations.
* Promptly report any accidents, incidents or near misses to your manager or supervisor
* Observe Company policy on flexibility by moving to any other job necessary.
* Undertake training/retraining and train other employees as required.
Requirements:
* Experience working in a Despatch role is desirable but not essential.
* Experience using a scanner desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
* Ability and willingness to work in a cold environment undertaking manual labour tasks.
* Flexibility to work additional/alternate hours depending on the needs of the business. Including but not limited to, working in other departments where reasonably required
* Good communications skills and understanding of English language.
* To ensure the integrity of our products, customers and brands is always maintained, as suitable to the role and defined in relevant procedures.
