GSL Education are seeking a skilled and motivated Teacher of Engineering / Construction / Motor Vehicle to join a supportive and forward-thinking school or vocational setting in Nottingham. As a Teacher of Engineering / Construction / Motor Vehicle, you will deliver engaging lessons that combine theory with practical application, supporting pupils to develop technical competence, problem-solving skills, and an understanding of industry standards. This role is ideal for professionals with experience in engineering, construction, automotive studies, or vocational education.
As a Teacher of Engineering / Construction / Motor Vehicle, you will:
* Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in Engineering, Construction, and/or Motor Vehicle studies.
* Teach practical and theoretical content aligned with vocational and technical curricula.
* Ensure health and safety procedures are followed during practical sessions.
* Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners and support pupil progress.
* Encourage employability skills, teamwork, and technical problem-solving.
* Monitor learner progress and provide feedback to inform future teaching and learning.
* Maintain a safe, inclusive, and well-managed learning environment.
What you will require for Teacher of Engineering / Construction / Motor Vehicle:
* UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a relevant teaching/training qualification (or strong industry experience with teaching potential).
* Experience teaching Engineering, Construction, or Motor Vehicle subjects.
* Strong subject knowledge and a passion for vocational education.
* Effective classroom and workshop management skills.
* An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
