Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a well-regarded primary school in Rochdale, currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 2 teacher to join their team from October half term 2025. About the Role
As the Year 2 class teacher, you will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing lessons in line with the National Curriculum. You will create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that supports the academic and personal development of all pupils. This role offers the opportunity to work as part of a collaborative teaching team, committed to raising standards and promoting a love of learning.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons that meet the needs of all learners
* Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress in line with school policies
* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture where children feel safe and supported
* Work closely with teaching assistants and other staff to maximise pupil outcomes
* Build effective relationships with parents and carers, keeping them informed of their child's progress
* Contribute to whole-school initiatives and participate in wider school life
Candidate Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
* Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally in a Year 2 setting
* Strong understanding of the Year 2 curriculum and assessment frameworks, including SATs preparation
* Excellent classroom management skills and a nurturing approach to behaviour
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* A team player with a positive, flexible, and proactive attitude
