Job Overview

This is an exciting time for the Intensive Care Unit as the service continues to grow. We are currently seeking highly motivated and passionate staff nurses, with a minimum of 12 months experience in an acute setting in an NHS Hospital, who are keen to develop and progress their critical care nursing skills within our Intensive Care Unit at Stoke Mandeville Hospital and Wycombe Hospital.

Our nurses are highly valued and our Critical Care units are supported by an established practice development team. You will be encouraged to develop your competency in Critical Care practice in a structured way with a combination of bedside practical supervision and theory sessions off the unit. We are a friendly, caring unit supporting each other while providing excellent nursing care to the most critically ill patients in the hospitals.

As part of our team, you will represent the Trust in delivering nursing care in line with the Trust Values, providing effective clinical assessments followed by the implementation of individual patient care plans. You will be an advocate for our patients and their families, ensuring a positive patient experience. We routinely work between the units at Wycombe and Stoke Mandeville Hospitals.
