Job Description:
My client, a leading IT Solutions provider, is seeking to recruit a Desktop Support Engineer to join an expanding Customer Support team. This client has over 10,000 employees worldwide and supports numerous large Enterprise Customers. The candidate should possess the following skills:
* Own, investigate, and resolve customer technical issues, collaborating within and across teams using troubleshooting tools and practices.
* Participate in communities with peer delivery roles and share knowledge where appropriate.
* Develop technical and professional skills through training and readiness programs.
* Identify potential product defects and escalate appropriately to contribute to Microsoft product improvements.
* Fluency in English with effective communication skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* At least 3 years of experience in technical support or related fields.
* Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
* Strong knowledge of Office 365 technology.
* Experience with Office Setup & Deployment processes.
* Knowledge of Office core applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Publisher, InfoPath, Access), including troubleshooting and usage.
* Understanding of Office integration with Windows, third-party network shares/OS, mobiles, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
* Additional desirable skills include:
o Networking skills and familiarity with protocols (FTP, HTTP, etc.).
o Object-oriented programming.
o Technical literacy and hands-on experience.
o Ability to work independently and in teams.
o Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications:
* Relevant Microsoft Technology Certifications.
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
* Experience in technical consulting or IT roles is preferred.
