📍 Location: London - Hybrid Role

We are looking for an experienced Data Modeller with a strong Investment Banking background to support complex data initiatives across trading, risk, settlements, and regulatory reporting. This is a niche, hands-on modelling role (not architecture) for someone who can work closely with business SMEs and technical teams to design robust logical and physical models.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
* Develop logical and physical data models for data warehouses, data lakes, and data marts
* Work closely with business SMEs to translate requirements into scalable data models
* Support capital markets data flows across equities, fixed income, derivatives, trade & position data
* Apply performance considerations and best practices in model design
* Use leading data modelling tools such as ERwin, PowerDesigner, ER/Studio, etc.
🎯 Must-Have Skills
* 7+ years of overall data modelling experience
* 4–5+ years dedicated to logical and physical modelling
* Strong background in Investment Banking (trading, risk, settlements, collateral, reference data, regulatory reporting)
* Hands-on experience with modelling tools (ERwin, PowerDesigner, ER/Studio or similar)
* Excellent understanding of capital markets products and data flows
* Strong SQL skills and performance-driven model design
* Ability to work effectively with business and technology stakeholders
⭐ Nice to Have
* Exposure to Azure, AWS, or GCP
* Experience with data governance, metadata, and data lineage
* Background in regulatory/risk data programmes (BCBS 239, FRTB, MiFID, etc.)
