An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Physiotherapy Assistant to jointhe Musculoskeletal Outpatient Physiotherapy Team.
This post is currently splitbetween East Surrey Hospital, Caterham Dene Hospital and Oxted Therapies Unitbut the main base may move to central Redhill early 2026.
We are looking for someone who iscompassionate, empathetic and motivated about working with patients.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work as part of our friendly teamsupporting the physiotherapists with running gym classes as well as beingresponsible for your own caseload of patients, transferred to you by the MSKphysiotherapists.
The gym classescontain both exercise and education elements so being confident talking to agroup of people is a useful skill to have but you would be supported todevelop this if necessary and hopefully progress to running some classesindependently.
Clinically, you will be supported by the Physiotherapy Team, guidingyou in the appropriate exercises and education to provide to patients underyour care.
You will also be responsible for the day to day cleaning andplanning maintenance of equipment, ordering of stock, inputting data onto ourelectronic patient administration system and assisting the team with qualityimprovement work.
You will need to be physically fit, have goodcommunication skills and the ability to be flexible and adaptable. We expectyou to be able to recognise when a situation falls outside of your level ofresponsibility and competency and be able to communicate this efficiently andeffectively with other members of the team.

The post holder isresponsible for:
* Working as a member of the physiotherapy teamsupporting qualified staff in providing a service to patients in the outpatientsetting.
* The physiotherapy equipment, making sure it iscleaned and maintained regularly.
* Managing own caseload of patients as identified bythe senior physiotherapist, implementing and progressing treatment programmesinforming the physiotherapist of any problems.
