Senior Radiographer – CT London, The London Bridge Hospital Full time, 37.5 hours per week Shift times: 7.5 hour shifts between 08:00 and 20:00 Permanent Salary: Competitive dependent upon experience Please note, applications for this role will close on Sunday 22nd February. We’re looking for a Senior Radiographer to join our CT team at The London Bridge Hospital, currently rated “Outstanding” by the CQC. The London Bridge Hospital campus in South East London encompasses an outpatients and diagnostic centre in The Shard; the large world-class hospital based at the Tooley Street site; Private Care at Guys, which is on the top four floors of Guys Hospital Cancer Centre; and outpatient and diagnostic centres across the City and Canary Wharf. As a Senior Radiographer in CT, you’ll provide a high level of customer-focussed to our patients and service users through high quality diagnostic radiography whilst remaining flexible to the needs of the department, working cohesively within the CT service. Duties & responsibilities: Carry out a full range of CT scans and CT interventional procedures to a high standard. Observe all safety checks and procedures, fully comply with IR(ME)R and all local policies to ensure safe imaging of patients. Assist the CT Superintendent in ensuring the highest quality of care is provided at all times and to provide an effective service during normal and extended working hours. Be a point of coordination for the CT service regarding queries from within radiology, as well as with consultants and in interdepartmental scenarios Participate in the out of hours and on-call rota, and to rotate between areas as required. Accept and perform non-radiographic duties that are intrinsic to the day to day running of the department, e.g. stock control, audit, coordinating equipment servicing. Help manage the CT bookings diary - including scanner capacity. Exercise responsibilities to junior colleagues such as adhering to the training framework, maintaining competencies, assisting in staff and student orientation and training. What you’ll bring: HCPC registration Extensive CT experience gained post-graduation, ideally in the UK High level of understanding with regards to clinical governance and protocols relating to CT Experience using Siemens and/or GE platforms (desirable) Why HCA UK?
