We have redesigned the service to incorporate two part‑time band 3 roles to support the arrhythmia specialist nurses and ANPs to run the arrhythmia service.
The role will support delivery of the arrhythmia service as a face‑to‑face point of contact during arrhythmia clinics, ensuring patients are seen on time and attended to outside of their consultation.
The role also supports the planning and implementation of the cardioversion service and provides care throughout the patient journey.
This key person will primarily support nurses in the outpatient clinic by caring for patients on the corridor, directing them to different departments, and undertaking ECGs, bloods, observations during weekend clinics – a mainly patient‑facing role.
The successful candidate will support patients during cardioversion procedures, provide after‑care and ensure they are supported throughout their day‑case procedure.
Planning of virtual clinics, contacting patients about attending planned activities, and ordering routine investigations such as ECGs in advance of planned clinics will also be part of the role.

* Support patients during day‑case procedures.
* Support alternative weekend clinics by performing ECGs, phlebotomy, and observations.
