As a Graduate Land Surveyor You Will
* Travel to a variety of sites across the country to undertake surveys, collect data and set out works on behalf of DM and their clients, using Total Station, Laser Scanning, handheld GNSS, and Electromagnetic Location equipment
* Take a proactive approach to processing survey data in line with departmental best practice
* Produce maps and plans in support of a wide range of fast paced projects, on time and within budget to maintain company standard
* Working in collaboration with the team, obtain, manage and analyse data from range of sources including the Land Registry, Ordnance Survey, Environment Agency, Local Authorities and Utility companies to best inform our advice and service to clients
* Be responsible in the maintenance and calibration procedures of the survey equipment and organisational policies and requirements
* Work under guidance, on projects and requests, ensuring requirements and objectives are met, building positive relationships and taking ownership of the standard of work
* Be commercially aware, maintain good records, including meeting notes, expense claims and comprehensive file updates and records of activities to provide regular client updates
The Successful Candidate Will
* Great IT skills with good working knowledge of MS Excel and Word packages
* Ability to manage a large amount of both quantitative and qualitative data
* Be Comfortable meeting people on-site–colleagues, clients, landowners and other stakeholders
* Have excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
* Have a full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to site and project locations
* Be a team player and have a can-do attitude
