Job Title: Administrative Assistant - Bournemouth Community Mental Health Team
Dorset Healthcare is seeking enthusiastic, flexible, and driven individuals to join our administrative team at Bournemouth Community Mental Health Team. Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide secretarial, administrative, and reception support to the team.
2. Liaise with the public and professionals across primary and secondary care services.
3. Maintain the Trust’s patient record system (RIO) in compliance with GDPR and data protection legislation.
4. Assist with clinical correspondence, dictation, referral management, and minute-taking at meetings.
5. Manage workload effectively, demonstrating resilience and compassion, especially when dealing with distressed patients.
Essential Requirements:
* Previous administrative experience, including audio typing (intermediate level).
* Proficiency in Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel).
* Excellent communication skills and telephone manner.
* Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and pay close attention to detail.
* Understanding of GDPR and data handling procedures.
Additional Information:
The role involves working five days a week, from 08:30 to 17:00, including a one-hour lunch break. Employment requires an Enhanced DBS check, which the Trust will cover. Applicants with a valid DBS update service certificate are preferred.
