Job Title: Plant and Fleet Manager
Location: Hampshire
We are recruiting for a Plant and Fleet Manager to take ownership of vehicle and plant operations for a leading Civil Engineering specialist.
This is a key operational leadership role, responsible for ensuring the business fleet and plant assets are compliant, efficient and cost-effective, while contributing to long-term fleet strategy and modernisation.
Role Overview
The Plant and Fleet Manager will oversee the maintenance, compliance and operational efficiency of vehicles and plant equipment. The role ensures safety, value for money and strategic alignment with business objectives, managing depot operations and coordinating with internal teams and external suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee maintenance, servicing and compliance of vehicles and plant
* Maintain MOT, tax, service, inspection and PUWER logs
* Manage vehicle and plant replacement programmes and associated budgets
* Lead depot and yard operations, ensuring safety, PPE compliance and waste management
* Contribute to fleet modernisation, carbon reduction and efficiency initiatives
* Attend Operations and Board meetings to present fleet performance and renewal proposals
Skills & Experience
* Minimum 5 years’ experience managing plant and fleet operations
* Transport Manager CPC Level 3
* Proven track record in fleet maintenance, compliance and asset renewal
* Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
* Experience with budgets, procurement and cost-saving initiatives
