Sector 3 work with Stockport Council, wider public services, 10GM, private businesses and wider stakeholders to channel over £1million per year through grant administration, focused on investing in Stockport VCFSEs. The Grant Design and Delivery Lead will lead the development and delivery of grant programmes administered by Sector 3 on behalf of funders and wider stakeholders. The role will ensure funding opportunities are designed around local need, informed by evidence and sector insight, and delivered through fair, transparent and accessible processes.
Working closely with funders, partners and Stockport's voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) sector, the postholder will oversee the full grant‑making process, from programme design and mobilisation through to assessment, due diligence, monitoring and impact reporting. The role will play an important part in strengthening relationships with funders, identifying opportunities for future investment and ensuring Sector 3 continues to provide a high quality grant administration offer that reflects best practice and supports positive outcomes for Stockport communities.

- Experience of developing and delivering grant programmes or funding initiatives.
- Experience of managing funding processes from application through to award and monitoring.
- Experience of building and maintaining relationships with funders, partners and stakeholders.
- Experience of facilitating panels, groups or meetings involving funding decisions.
- Experience of undertaking due diligence, compliance checks or similar assurance processes.
- Experience of producing reports and presenting information to a range of audiences.
- Experience of using CRM or grant management systems.
- Good understanding of the voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise sector. Understanding of grant‑making principles and good practice.
- Understanding of governance, accountability and risk management.
- Understanding of monitoring, evaluation and impact reporting.
- Awareness of barriers organisations can face when accessing funding and approaches to improving accessibility.
- Strong relationship‑building and communication skills.
- Ability to work confidently with a range of stakeholders.
