Professional and quality-driven full-service environmental contractor is seeking an individual to join our Technical Services Division located in Northampton, PA. We are dedicated to providing our customers with premium environmental services throughout the region and beyond. The successful candidate must be self-motivated, organized, a problem solver, and able to work effectively with employees, vendors, and clients.
Position:
Environmental Specialist – Technical Services Division – Environmental Waste Minimization, Inc., Northampton, PA
Primary Duties & Expectations:
1. Perform drum and lab pack projects.
2. Experience in the Hazardous Waste Industry is preferred but not required. Knowledge of lab pack procedures, DOT rules, and RCRA is beneficial.
3. Understand waste classifications according to federal, state, and local regulations, including RCRA and DOT hazardous and non-hazardous waste regulations.
4. Segregate waste chemicals following packing group requirements and guidelines.
5. Complete waste characterization reports and submit quality reports to appropriate TSDFs.
6. Generate regulatory documents such as manifests, container labels, markings, and placards.
7. Load and unload drums manually, perform labor functions, and drive locally and regionally.
8. Work independently and productively, with competent computer skills and good business acumen.
9. Adhere strictly to the corporate safety program.
10. Some overnight travel is required.
11. Support all company divisions, including after-hours/weekend emergency on-call.
12. Interact professionally with clients, solve problems, and represent the company effectively.
13. Provide quality customer service and communicate follow-up activities.
14. Support all safety rules, company policies, and procedures; prioritize safety in all duties.

Compensation Package:
* 40-hour work week plus overtime
* All related business expenses (tolls, mileage, etc.)
* Safety gear and work uniform
* Per diem: $50/night for overnight travel

Requirements:
* Possess or be willing to obtain a CDL license and endorsements.
* A 4-year degree in chemistry or a related science field, or equivalent industry experience.
* Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and EPA/RCRA regulations.
