Purpose:
To move trailers safely around the yard and to the required destinations. You will also maintain and repair to a measured quality standard, the Heavy Goods trailers of the TIP rental fleet, and its customers own trailers at TIP workshops.

Responsibilities:
1. Presentation of TIP assets for MOT testing to an onsite ATF lane (off-site)
2. Voluntary brake testing
3. Loading of weight for mot perperation
4. Yard shunting and workshop shunting
5. Liaising with DVSA personnel and third parties on the ATF lane
6. Fork lift duties
7. Telehandler duties
8. General yard duties, including cleaning, painting and general repairs
9. Assistance with small trailer repairs
10. Cleaning of trailers
11. MOT Steam cleaning
12. Ensure all compliance details are completed in an accurate and timely manner
13. Ensure all company vehicles are driven and operated at all times in accordance with road traffic law and company policy
14. Undertake all required training as deemed necessary by the company
15. Provide a high customer service level & demonstrate company values at all times
16. Highlight all potential business commercial opportunities to managers
17. The role will involve possible shift working, including weekends.

Qualifications/Requirements:
18. HGV class 1 licence
19. Forklift licence desirable
20. High level of enthusiasm & good communication skills
21. Basic knowledge of computers and ability to complete relevant written documentation
22. Have a customer and team centric mindset and high level of professionalism
23. Good organisational skills and ability to be able to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines
24. Initiative to work autonomously if required.
