Dartmoor National Park Authority works in partnership with local and national stakeholders to conserve and enhance Dartmoor as a vibrant, living, working landscape and community teeming with natural beauty, wildlife and cultural heritage.
This is a full-time, 37 hrs per week position, for a fixed term until 30th June 2027 (subject to funding). The role is based at the Dartmoor National Park Authority (DNPA) offices at Parke, Bovey Tracey and Princetown.
About the role
As a Landscape Project Officer, you will support the delivery of projects within our Conservation and Land Management team.
You will help bring environmental projects to life by providing essential support across contract management, financial administration, communications, and stakeholder engagement. You'll be a key player in ensuring our environmental projects are delivered smoothly, on time, and with maximum impact.
What you’ll be doing:
* Supporting contract coordination – helping commission, track, and manage contracts while ensuring compliance with relevant guidelines
* Leading communications – creating engaging content and sharing updates through newsletters, social media, and websites
* Organising meetings and events – including preparing materials, arranging logistics, and taking minutes when needed
* Assisting with financial administration – processing invoices, supporting budgets, and helping with regular reporting
You will also work closely with a wide range of partners, contractors, and the Dartmoor farming community to ensure strong collaboration and positive outcomes across all projects.

About you
The successful applicant will be motivated to deliver genuine environmental impact, have strong project administration skills and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset. They’ll be highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to communicate clearly and confidently.
Experience in creating engaging content for websites, newsletters, and social media is essential, along with the ability to adapt messages for different audiences and channels.
The post is hosted by Dartmoor National Park Authority and will be based at Parke and Princetown but will involve some travelling around Dartmoor.
