Our client, located in Newton Abbot, is seeking part-time (full-time during busier months) HGV drivers to deliver various palletised goods from a Class 1 curtain sider. This presents an excellent opportunity for the suitable candidate to join a reputable company for ad-hoc work with the possibility of an ongoing position.
About the job:
* £16.81–£17.93 per hour under PAYE ADV (other PAYE models available).
* Start time: 08:00 am. Monday to Friday.
* Guaranteed 8 hours of pay.
* Payment is hourly; the more you work, the more you will earn.
* Weekly pay.
* Full training is provided.
Responsibilities:
* Delivering various palletised goods from a Class 1 curtainsider.
* Ensuring the safe transportation of goods. Providing excellent customer service.
* Adhering to company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
* Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence.
* Digital Tachograph Card and Driver Qualification Card (CPC).
* One year’s experience driving an HGV.
* ADR licence is desirable.
* Experience with tail lifts is advantageous, but full training will be provided.
