The Role
Opportunity to join a growing specialist bank within their mortgages and lending division, taking ownership of data, MI and operational insight across the business. This is a hands-on role combining technical delivery, stakeholder engagement and team leadership. You'll act as the go-to for all reporting and analytics, working closely with senior stakeholders to translate data into clear, actionable insight that drives operational performance and decision-making. The role sits at the intersection of data, operations and lending, with a focus on improving visibility across pipeline, capacity, customer outcomes and overall business performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Own and deliver all MI, reporting and operational analytics across the lending division
* Design and develop dashboards using Tableau, Power BI and SQL
* Translate complex data into clear insight for senior stakeholders (MD, Sales, Credit, Operations)
* Lead and develop a junior analyst, setting standards and supporting growth
* Drive data quality, consistency and governance across operational systems
* Identify inefficiencies and lead data-driven process improvements
* Support operational change and transformation initiatives with robust data and insight
* Act as the subject matter expert for data, reporting and operational performance
Key Requirements
* Strong experience in MI, BI or data analytics roles within financial services (essential)
* Advanced Tableau and SQL skills (essential)
* Experience building dashboards and owning reporting end-to-end
* Proven ability to engage senior stakeholders and influence decision-making
* Experience working with operational or lending-related data (e.g. mortgages, loans, pipeline)
* Prior experience mentoring or managing analysts (or ready to step into this)
* Strong commercial mindset with a focus on using data to drive change
* Ideal for a Senior Analyst looking to step into a management role, or an existing Manager seeking a hands-on position
