About the Role Reporting into the Senior Manager for Operational competency, the successful Training Manager - Apprenticeships will be playing a vital part in the successful delivery of the Professional Operator Development Programme (PODP); specifically supporting the Mineral Processing Apprenticeship Standards. You will ensure apprentices receive consistent, high-quality support throughout their learning journey with a particular focus on pastoral Care. What you'll be doing In this role, you as the successful Training Manager - Apprenticeships will be carrying out the following duties and responsibilities (not exhaustive) Apprentice Support & Progress Monitoring - leading and coordinating regular progress reviews for all learners, monitoring the quality of progress reviews to ensure they have the desired impact and providing tailored support for apprentices with additional learning needs Communication & Coordination - facilitating consistent communication to ensure alignment across all product lines and business units, supporting the planning and scheduling of training activities and acting as a central point of contact between delivery teams, including trainers, assessors, operational managers and HR Quality Assurance & Compliance - contributing to the programmes Quality Improvement Plan and Self-Assessment Review, providing quality assurance checks on compliance documents and ensure that learner portfolios are maintained and completed at gateway Safeguarding & Inclusion promoting and upholding safeguarding standards in line with Ofsted requirements, ensuring all staff involved in delivery have appropriate DBS checks and technical competence and being responsible for the provision of pastoral care for apprentices Please note that this is a fixed-term contract expected to last around 12-months What we are looking for We are looking for a Training Manager - Apprenticeships who is ideally: A strong communicator Has a learner-centric mindset Quality focussed Resilient & adaptable Why Tarmac?
