An exciting opportunity is being offered to lead the Urology Investigation suite based at Eastbourne District General Hospital.
The department consists of 10 clinics rooms which are utilised to deliver complex urology clinics including USC, Flow, TWOC, LATP, Chemotherapy.
The matron would work both clinically and lead the team, flexing the workforce / footprint to meet current demands.
Main duties of the job
Candidates should have excellent leadership skills and an understanding of the complexities of managing a department that offers a large range of urology services. The post holder will be responsible for the effective clinical and operational management of the department and will support the senior team to drive the strategic direction of the service, ensuring a high quality care is delivered. Understanding urology pathways, budget, risk management and management of workforce is essential.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse and hold active registration with Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
* Masters level study relevant to role
Experience
* Experience in nursing care, knowledge and expertise relevant to the clinical area within NHS or relevant health care organisation
Skills
* Professional clinical knowledge skills and skills that demonstrate the ability to assess, plan, develop and implement complex programmes of care/discharge
