Job Title: Desk Based Business Development Manager
Location: Tamworth
Salary: £30,580 + OTE of £40k
We are currently recruiting a talented and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our busy contact centre team.
Your role involves converting prospects into customers by effectively presenting Brakes' value proposition, addressing customer needs, and negotiating deals. You will build and maintain strong, lasting relationships and be a subject matter expert within a designated sector to exceed sales/margin targets using Brakes' customer-first methodology.
Responsibilities:
1. Research and prospect potential new business opportunities to maintain a healthy pipeline.
2. Handle a mix of incoming leads within specified SLAs and self-generated opportunities.
3. Build strong commercial customer relationships to understand their business and requirements.
4. Develop profitable and relevant propositions to secure new business at the correct margin.
5. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Depots and Credit Control, to assist with new customers.
6. Understand competitor activity and propositions to create tailored proposals based on Brakes' value proposition.
7. Achieve revenue and margin targets on a periodic, quarterly, and annual basis.
8. Work comfortably within demanding KPI environments in a fast-paced setting.
9. Manage all activity through Salesforce CRM to maintain pipeline visibility and track activity and conversions.
Candidate Requirements:
* Experience in a new business role within a fast-moving B2B environment.
* Results-oriented with a proven track record of achieving targets in a competitive marketplace.
* Outstanding active listening skills with the ability to engage and influence customers.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with a sense of urgency.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Experience with Salesforce and/or SAP is advantageous.
