An opportunity to join a recognised and well-respected consultancy who offer the full range of Building Surveying services to its clients. My client is looking to recruit an MRICS qualified Senior Building Surveyor in their Plymouth office which is currently experiencing a period of expansion.
We are looking for a candidate who is MRICS qualified for a minimum of 5 years and who can demonstrate a broad working knowledge of building surveying services across different client sectors. The ideal candidate can work independently but also possesses a strong team spirit, a positive attitude to service delivery, and a professional image, especially when client-facing.
Responsibilities
* Produce carefully prepared, accurate work and maintain good report writing skills.
* Deliver presentations (written or verbal) with confidence, and show strong numeracy skills.
* Manage an operational awareness of administrative and project cost management, and understand the principles of a commercially-focused delivery and the effective use of resources.
* Prioritise conflicting workloads and manage own time efficiently.
* Provide strong negotiation skills and present a confident persona.
* Support the development of a Building Surveying team, acting both independently and as a team player.
* Deliver core building surveying services such as: Developing client briefs; Contract administration / project delivery; Party wall; JCT contract administration (Minor and IF); Defect analysis and rectifications; Technical compliance roles; Specification writing; Producing schedules of work; Design (experience of using AutoCAD an advantage).
* Be computer literate, specifically in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and Microsoft Project.
* Willing to travel as project commissions require.
* Hold a full driving licence.
Qualifications
* MRICS qualified for a minimum of 5 years.

* Good numeracy, operational awareness of administrative and project cost management.
