Job Purpose
To prepare suitability reports and provide technical research services across a broad range of financial products and planning opportunities, supporting a team of Financial Planners. The role requires a strong understanding of financial advice, client needs, and desired outcomes.
You will ensure that advice prepared for clients is of the highest quality, delivered efficiently, and aligned with regulatory standards, while mitigating risks and supporting the achievement of business targets. You will also support Financial Planners in client meetings, including presenting cashflow modelling and assisting with technical queries.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Preparing suitability reports across a wide range of advice types, financial products, and investment solutions
* Conducting detailed technical research as required
* Ensuring client records contain sufficient “Know Your Client” information to demonstrate suitability of advice, and are kept accurate and up to date
* Working closely with Financial Planners to ensure the correct client outcomes are achieved
* Attending client meetings to support delivery, including cashflow modelling where required
* Managing your own workload to meet agreed targets and deadlines
* Communicating effectively with Financial Planners to manage expectations on delivery timelines
* Supporting local projects within the Financial Planning team as required
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
* Hold a Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (DipPFS)
* Demonstrate a desire to continue professional development, working towards Chartered status
* Have proven experience in a paraplanning role with strong technical knowledge
* Demonstrate a track record of delivering high-quality written financial advice
* Possess strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Demonstrate strong stakeholder management and influencing abilities
* Have strong literacy, numerical, and analytical skills
