ABOUT THE ROLE
Wrexham Tennis and Padel Centre is a charitable organisation at the heart of North Wales, providing thousands of people with access to high-quality indoor and outdoor tennis, padel, and leisure facilities.
In partnership with Wrexham County Borough Council, the LTA, and Tennis Wales, our Trustees have developed a five-year strategy to grow and strengthen the Centre. Our mission is to improve health, wellbeing, and potential for everyone, offering a world-class environment with tennis at its heart.
The Centre Supervisor plays a vital role in the day-to-day running of the Centre, ensuring a welcoming, smooth, and enjoyable experience for all visitors. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with a passion for customer service and teamwork.
KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
* As shift leader you will ensure day to day issues are dealt with and be the first point of contact for finding solutions for customer requests, enquiries or complaints.
* Provide daily support to ensure all courts and supporting areas are cleaned and maintained, indoors and outdoors
* Flexibility to work shifts as part of a rota, inclusive of early mornings, evenings and weekends, across a seven-day operation and act as a key holder for the premises.
* You will deliver an exceptional customer service through the supervision and direction of centre assistants. You will act as a positive role model to the team by always delivering the highest standards.
* You will undertake the day-to-day supervision of the centre assistants, working within policy and procedures. Ensuring the highest standards of Health and Safety, Cleanliness and Customer care.
* Take ownership of problems and difficult situations and resolve these promptly and effectively
* To manage and develop your allocated area of the business
* Actively promote centre activities and facilities to current and potential customers, communicating new programmes and special offers
* Preparing and serving food and drinks from our Café and ensure all meetings, rooms, functions, and events are set-up as required and presented with excellence
* To assist in the set up and delivery of events and competitions as required
Previous Experience of:
* Demonstrable experience incorporating all aspects of customer service, facilities and health and safety
* Supervising and leading a team
* Working flexibly on a shift rota
* Operational facilities supervision/management
* Knowledge of booking management systems
Knowledge, Training & Qualifications:
* Safeguarding Training / qualified or willingness to undertake training
* First aid training / qualified or willingness to undertake training
* Food Hygiene / qualified or willingness to undertake training
* Manual handling training / qualified or willingness to undertake training
* A satisfactory DBS disclosure
* Clubspark / willingness to undertake training
* Customer service experience / willingness to undertake training
* COSHH training / willingness to undertake training
* Fire Marshall training / willingness to undertake training
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 per week
