An established and growing business within the logistics/transport sector is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to take ownership of the finance function and support the business through its next phase of growth.
This is a key leadership role within an SME environment, offering the opportunity to make a real impact in a business where finance plays a central role in both operational and strategic decision-making.
Reporting into senior leadership, and managing a small team you will be responsible for the end-to-end finance function, ensuring both strategic and day-to-day financial operations run effectively.

What will you do as a Finance Manager?
* Ownership of the finance function within a fast-paced SME environment
* Oversee all transactional finance activities including purchase ledger, sales ledger
* Manage payroll and take ownership of cash flow management
* Hands-on involvement in day-to-day finance operations where required
* Production of monthly management accounts and financial reporting
* Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
* Monitor financial performance and provide commercial insight to support decision-making
* Strengthen financial controls, processes, and systems
* Ownership and optimisation of the finance system (Sage)
* Liaising with banks, auditors, and external advisors
What do you need as a Finance Manager?
* Qualified or part-qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
* Strong working knowledge of Sage (essential)
* Strong commercial awareness with the ability to influence decision-making
* Hands-on approach with strong attention to detail
* Advanced Excel skills
