We’re looking for a proactive, detail-oriented IT & SAP Business One Support member of staff to help keep our business systems running smoothly. You will be the first point of contact for day-to-day IT and SAP B1 queries, coordinating with our managed service providers and hosting partners, supporting end-users, whilst also assisting with reporting and change management. This is a hands‑on, learning‑focused role with clear progression into developing a wider and deeper understanding.
You will have previous experience of IT Support / Service Desk, plus a solid working knowledge of SAPB1 or equivalent ERP system, ideally in a support capacity.
1st Line functional support for SAPB1
* User provisioning: Onboarding/Offboarding. Assist with roles/authorizations, license assignments, and basic audit checks.
* User issues: login/access, document posting errors, printing, basic transactions
* General support: Run and distribute routine reports; assist with simple queries (SQL/HANA) and filters; maintain saved layouts.
1st Line functional support for IT
* User Issues: Help users with Outlook, Teams, OneDrive/SharePoint access, MFA enrolment, and common productivity issues.
* User provisioning: Onboarding/Offboarding. Assist with licensing assignments, hardware procurement and basic audit checks.
* General support: Supporting users with IT, telecoms guidance, hardware and ticket support.
* Support users in the physical office (Colchester) and also remote support to the global team where possible and practical.
Business Enablement
* Training & Onboarding Support (Create & deliver short/task focussed basics on SAPB1 & M365)
* Process Improvement: Identify recurring issues, propose small improvements, and help standardize best practices.
* Change Management: Help prepare release notes, communicate planned changes/outages, and gather feedback from stakeholders.
* Attending monthly review meetings with IT and SAPB1 service providers.
* Project support for SAPB1 and IT initiatives, including support in planning, execution, UAT and deployment and post live support.
* Willing to provide out-of-hour support from time to time to support our global team.

Qualifications Include:
* 1+ years of IT Support / Service Desk / SAPB1 or equivalent ERP system
* Excellent Microsoft skills such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Teams.
* Basic understanding of ERP concepts (items, business partners, documents, ledgers, postings) with some exposure of ERP systems
* Structured problem-solving: (assess, reproduce, document, and elevate effectively)
* Attention to detail and disciplined follow-up on tickets and tasks.
* Keen interest and aptitude for technology & working knowledge of MS365 environment
* Strong communication skills and customer service mindset; able to explain technical topics in plain language.
* The ability to understand both business and technical issues and articulate appropriately
* Able to work independently and to work as part of a multi-cultural (virtual) team
* Educational qualifications that demonstrate excellence in English Language and Maths, both written and verbally.
* Demonstrate excellent team working skills and ability to work in a matrix environment.
* Authorization to work indefinitely in the UK without restriction or sponsorship
* Exposure to SAP Business One (User-level operations, layouts, or simple queries).
* Basic SQL/HANA query familiarity (Reading/editing filters, understanding joins).
* Strong experience with MS365 admin basics (Office Suite, MFA, Teams/SharePoint permissions).
* Understanding service desk workflows (incident, request, change).
* Awareness of data protection and access control principles.
