At CrossReach, caring isn’t just what we do it’s who we are. For over 150 years, we’ve been there for people when they needed a helping hand, a listening ear, or just a bit of extra support. And now? Well, we'd love you to be part of that story too.
We’re on the lookout for Relief Care Workers brilliant, big-hearted people who can step in and make a real difference when needed. You might be helping someone start their morning with a smile, supporting them to move around comfortably, or simply sitting with them and sharing a cup of tea and a good natter. No two days are ever quite the same!
What will you actually be doing?
Helping with personal care, always keeping dignity front and centre.
Making sure each person’s home environment feels clean, comfortable, and truly theirs.
Supporting service users with the little things like moving around safely, staying active, and using any equipment they need.
Being a friendly face for visitors and a calm voice on the phone.
Keeping care plans up to date (don’t worry, we’ll show you how!) and working closely with our brilliant team.
Respecting and supporting Christian worship or the worship of their choice.
What we’re looking for:
Ideally, you’ll have your SVQ 3 in Social Care but if not, we’ll help you achieve it.
Basic computer skills enough to manage e-learning and update records (no need to be a tech genius!).
A warm, respectful approach that fits beautifully with our Christian ethos.
You’ll need to join the PVG Scheme and register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) but we’ll guide you every step of the way.
Why join us?
Because here, you’re not just filling a shift you’re lighting up someone’s day. You’ll have the flexibility to work around your life, the training and support to grow, and the satisfaction of being part of something that's been changing lives for generations.
Sound like you? We’d love to hear from you!
