About Ultimate Sevens: Ultimate Sevens is the new, elite global men’s and women’s Rugby Sevens championship and academy product (backed by BIA Sports Group - the team behind Sunderland AFC and World Supercross Championship) that is set to transform Rugby Sevens for the modern fan and digital-first generation. Launching across Europe late summer 2026, Ultimate Sevens builds on global growth, the rise of women’s sport, and the Olympic spotlight where innovation, inclusion, gamification, and modernised rules are at its core. Ultimate Sevens places both the players and fans at the centre of the action delivering an electrifying competition, creating new opportunities and enhancing the future of the sport worldwide.


Position Summary: The Fan, Community & Culture Manager is responsible for developing and delivering strategies that drive fan growth, community (e.g. sports clubs) connections through to conversion (ticket sales) and culture, brand and audience development. The role leads fan engagement initiatives, community programs, and culturally relevant marketing campaigns that drive audience and brand growth through to individual and group ticket transactions. Working closely with internal teams, partners, players, creators, and community stakeholders, the manager creates authentic experiences and activations that enhance the fan journey, broaden audience reach, ensure the brand is relevant and inclusive and maximises revenue and sales. The role also uses audience insights, market trends, and performance data to measure impact and continuously optimise engagement strategies.


Key Responsibilities: The position will focus on the key areas below but also allows flexibility to respond to business requirements:

Fan Engagement & Growth

  • Develop and execute fan engagement strategies that increase awareness, consideration purchasing and advocacy.
  • Identify opportunities to grow existing fan bases and attract new audiences/fans across a set of segments and markets
  • Create campaigns that deepen emotional connections between fans and Ultimate Sevens brands, players and clubs/teams team
  • Monitor fan sentiment and behavior to inform marketing strategies and improve fan experiences.
  • Collaborate with digital, content, and social media teams to drive engagement across all touchpoints.


Community Marketing & Sales

  • Design and implement community-focused marketing initiatives that strengthen local and regional connections that in-turn drives conversion
  • Build strong relationships and group sales with local and regional community organizations, rugby clubs, professional and grassroots sports programs, schools and universities, plus online/social forums and groups
  • Manage and see through these opportunities and partnerships, activating plans to maximize brand impact and revenue/sales.
  • Measure and report on community engagement outcomes and return on investment.
  • Support Ultimate Sevens Academy growth and community engagement initiative and delivery


Culture & Audience Development

  • Be at the centre of popular culture, identify trends, emerging opportunities, and consumer insights relevant to sport, entertainment, lifestyle, music, fashion, art.
  • Develop culturally relevant campaigns in line with the brand that resonate authentically with our target audiences.
  • Integrate with wider social and influencer program to optimize cultural partners and deepen engagement.

Required Skills & Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years working in a fan engagement, partnerships and live event marketing roles across sports, entertainment or lifestyle
  • Proven experience running integrated fan growth and ticket marketing campaigns
  • Track record of launching data-led community marketing initiatives, building strong connections and partnerships and seeing sales growth
  • Expertise in digital and social media platforms and performance marketing.
  • At heart of building brands that are culturally relevant and shifting perceptions, identity new storytelling opportunities
  • Experience working with agencies, influencers, talent and partners to drive success
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to integrate marketing strategy with revenue goals
  • Experience in sports ticketing
