Overview
Join the Jacobs Water and Environment team as a Principal Civil Design Engineer - Water. You will contribute to the UK and Ireland water sector, supporting strategic partnerships with major water companies and delivering projects across feasibility, planning, design, construction, operations and maintenance within a multi-year framework.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead multidisciplinary civil engineering projects from concept to completion.
* Deliver innovative and sustainable design solutions across water infrastructure.
* Oversee technical delivery, ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
* Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive project success.
* Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development.
* Demonstrate exemplary behaviour in health, safety and wellbeing management in line with Jacobs’ BeyondZero approach.
* Foster relationships with existing water clients to support growth.
What You'll Need
* Extensive progressive experience in civil engineering, with expertise in detailed design and design-and-build on water and wastewater projects.
* Strong grasp of civil engineering principles and project lifecycle management.
* Familiarity with UK water sector regulations and safety protocols.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
* Member of ICE or CIWEM.
* Robust understanding of current health, safety and welfare legislation.
* Foster a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
