Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in vehicle maintenance and repair, demonstrating the ability to diagnose issues accurately and perform high-quality repairs. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work independently as well as part of a team, ensuring that all vehicles are safe and functioning optimally.
Responsibilities
* Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues and necessary repairs.
* Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tyre rotations, and brake inspections.
* Diagnose faults using diagnostic equipment and recommend appropriate solutions.
* Repair or replace defective parts and components, ensuring all work meets safety standards.
* Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed on each vehicle.
* Collaborate with other mechanics and staff to ensure efficient workflow in the workshop.
* Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and techniques to enhance skills and knowledge.
Skills
* Proficient in mechanical systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically under pressure.
* Excellent attention to detail to ensure high-quality workmanship.
* Effective communication skills for interacting with team members and clients.
* Ability to work independently while also being a cooperative team player.
* Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment used in vehicle repair is advantageous.
