Job Description
* Responsible for delivering the health, safety, and environmental risk strategy as set by the Head of Safety & Risk.
* Implementing ISO-certified safety and environmental management systems.
* Acting as Subject Matter Expert on health and safety, environmental risk, and safety culture, including road transport and yard safety at Smiths News and third-party locations.
* Owning company health and safety policies, training programs, and audit regimes, ensuring proper management and compliance.
* Leading Human Factors and Safety Culture Awareness programs to foster positive safety behaviors and culture.
* Maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and trade associations.
* Ensuring thorough investigation of incidents and accidents, coordinating with external agencies as needed.

Candidate Requirements
* Nebosh Level 3 or equivalent qualification
* Experience with ISO 45001 and integrated systems
* Auditing qualifications and experience
* Environmental risk management qualifications
* Extensive accident investigation experience, including root cause analysis
* Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to influence at senior levels
* Valid UK driving license (company car may be provided)
