Senior Care Assistant - Day Shifts
Dementia Care Home, Uttoxeter | £13.50 per hour
We're seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our dedicated day team at a specialist dementia care home in Uttoxeter. If you're committed to delivering high-quality care and have experience supporting both residents and care staff, we'd love to hear from you.
What We Offer:
* £13.50 per hour
* Average 33 hours per week - Set rolling rota: Week 1 - 2 shifts /Week 2 - 4 shifts
* Shift times: 8:00am - 8:00pm
* Supportive and friendly care team

Your Key Responsibilities:
As a Day Senior Care Assistant, you will:
? Lead by example, supervising and mentoring Care Assistants to uphold high standards of care and professionalism
? Deliver person-centred care that promotes dignity, independence, and individual choice-particularly for residents living with dementia
? Administer medications safely and in accordance with care home policies and regulatory guidelines (training available if required)
? Observe, monitor, and report on residents' physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing, ensuring timely escalation when needed
? Maintain detailed and accurate care records, ensuring smooth communication and continuity across shifts
? Contribute to care planning and reviews, working in partnership with families, colleagues, and healthcare professionals
What We're Looking For:
* Previous experience in a senior or supervisory care role (preferred)
* Medication trained
* NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (preferred but not essential)
* A team player with a genuine passion for elderly care and strong communication skills
