Principal or Associate Electrical Engineer at Hoare Lea, Cardiff. This role is based in our Cardiff office as part of the largest independent consulting engineering firm of its kind and offers opportunities for career progression within a multidisciplinary team.

Role and responsibilities
* Be responsible for the day-to-day technical delivery of the electrical design services for multidisciplinary projects across a number of building sectors.
* Lead the development of initial strategic concepts for projects ensuring solutions are appropriate for the brief and regulatory standards.
* Interact regularly with internal and external stakeholders; attend project meetings and translate the brief within the project team. This is a client-facing role requiring effective communication and collaboration.
* Work with the team leader to monitor fee expenditure, resources and work delivered.
* Mentor and support our next generation of professionals, including apprentices and graduates.
About you / Qualifications
* Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer or in a closely related role, with a track record delivering on a variety of complex projects.
* Experience with modern technical delivery processes and software/tools such as BIM, Revit, Electrical OM, Dialux and Relux.
* Experience working with clients, contractors and architects in a design-oriented/consultant role.
* Self-awareness, open-mindedness and a collaborative, generous attitude.
* Experience in supporting others to develop knowledge, skills and confidence.
