Key Responsibilities
The main responsibilities for the Data Administrator will include but are not restricted to, the following:
Database Management and Security
* Handle day-to-day tasks: creating/running reports, importing data, retention processes, cleansing, maintenance, and advising on best practices.
* Work as part of a team to ensure compliance with Data Protection Act 2018, UK GDPR, and DUA Act 2025.
Performance Monitoring
* Monitoring exisitng intergrations to ensure they work and data entry is accurate.
* Liaise with internal teams and external consultants.
* Conduct regular testing, analyse metrics, troubleshoot issues, and optimise efficiency.
Support Internal Staff Training
* Support Head of Data in training staff on best practices for data entry and management.
* Create and manage training materials and processes.
Data Segmentation
* Work with teams to segment data for personalised communications.
Data Insights, Analytics and AI
* Provide insights and analysis via reports, dashboards, analytics tools.
* Manage data to enable analytics and AI usage.
Specific Duties
1. Manage, create and administer reports and dashboards as requested by internal teams and the Head of Data.
2. Develop and maintain data entry and reporting processes.
3. Monitor data quality and integrity to maintain a high level of accuracy.
4. Conduct regular audits of data processes and manage data retention to ensure compliance with regulations (Data Protection Act 2018, UK GDPR, DUA Act 2025).
5. Perform database de-duplication and cleansing procedures regularly.
6. Define, manage, and document issues, resolutions, checks, and testing following team methodology.
7. Assist internal teams in data segmentation for personalised communications.
8. Troubleshoot data issues in collaboration with internal teams.
9. Liaise with third-party software providers to ensure seamless and accurate data transfers.
10. General database administration tasks e.g. creating users, resetting passwords.
11. Report regularly to the Head of Data on performance metrics.
Skills and Experience
1. Understanding of data analysis, reporting, and presenting data clearly.
2. Strong IT skills, particularly MS Excel.
3. Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
4. Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
5. Ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot effectively.
6. Process-driven approach with strong documentation skills.
7. Ability to prioritise conflicting needs and manage workload independently.
8. Adaptable and quick to learn, with motivation to improve skills.

NRAS Structure
The post holder will report to the Head of Data and will work closely with the Data Team, and all colleagues throughout the organisation as data users.

* Any other duties as requested by the Head of Data
