Senior Administrator – Construction / Refurbishment
£25,000–£30,000 + Benefits (Private Healthcare & Pension)
Full-time (part-time considered)
Office-based – Hertfordshire (commutable to Hitchin/Stevenage)
A growing refurbishment contractor is looking for a highly organised Senior Administrator to support the smooth running of the business and multiple live projects. This is a varied role acting as Administrator/PA/Office Manager, working closely with the senior leadership team to ensure project and office operations run efficiently.
The company deliver refurbishment works valued between £20K–£1.6M across Commercial, Education, Industrial and Residential sectors.
Responsibilities:
* Manage Directors' diaries – arranging meetings, site visits and key appointments
* Coordinate day-to-day office and project administration to support project delivery
* Act as a key point of contact for clients – issuing quotes, scheduling works, and assisting with valuations
* Oversee upkeep of company vehicles – MOT, tax, servicing, compliance
* Maintain office systems and ensure a smooth working environment for the team
* Issue Health & Safety documentation and support with RAMS where required
* Support HR administration – holidays, expenses, sickness, accommodation, overtime
* Coordinate subcontractor onboarding – ensuring documentation is in place before works commence
Requirements:
* Strong organisational, planning and problem-solving skills
* Confident IT user with ability to learn project admin tools quickly
* Understanding of – or willingness to learn – basic H&S and CDM Regulations
* Experience in contract administration or construction admin beneficial
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills across clients, teams and suppliers
* Ability to work independently and within a small team
* Full UK driving licence preferred
