BASIC SALARY: Up to £35,000

JOB DESCRIPTION
This is a field‑based, electrically biased Service Engineer role providing scheduled service, maintenance, reactionary repair, installation and commissioning of a very wide range of machinery across the Midlands (and occasionally further afield). You will also be responsible for repair and pre‑commissioning of equipment at the Northampton workshop, and for liaising with internal team members, providing remote technical support for computer hardware and POS systems. You will also support internal IT systems with occasional shared IT support monitoring over evenings and weekends (for critical events only) and to cover holidays.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Field‑based, electrically biased Service Engineer role
* Repair and pre‑commissioning of equipment at the Northampton workshop
* Electro‑mechanical work on hardware, plus troubleshooting issues related to software applications / network connectivity.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
* An electrically biased Maintenance or Service Engineer with excellent hands‑on repair, fault finding and debugging skills
* Familiarity with electrical equipment – experience in gaming machine, ATM, photocopier, or point‑of‑sale sectors is an obvious advantage
* Understanding of network connectivity and general IT infrastructure is an advantage
