Description
We are looking for a full or part-time passionate, energetic, and personable Shift Manager to lead our new Guildford pasta restaurant. Your role will involve overseeing daily operations, creating a welcoming environment, and ensuring exceptional dining experiences. The restaurant features open pasta-making in the window, vibrant Italian music, pasta classes, and a lively atmosphere.
What you'll do at Pasta Evangelists:
1. Manage the restaurant floor and kitchen operations.
2. Maintain cleanliness, food safety, and operational standards.
3. Oversee food preparation and ensure quality in every dish.
4. Lead and support front-of-house and back-of-house teams.
5. Address challenges proactively to ensure smooth service.
6. Engage with guests, offering menu guidance and personalized service.
7. Participate in pasta preparation and presentation.
8. Train new staff and organize ongoing training.
9. Manage shift schedules and time-off requests.
10. Handle cash transactions accurately.
11. Assist in budget management and cost control.
12. Conduct safety checks and address issues promptly.
13. Maintain a positive, energetic shift environment.
Who you are:
1. Experienced in hospitality management, with a background as a Shift Manager or similar.
2. Natural leader with motivating skills and positive energy.
3. Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
4. Capable of handling stressful situations calmly.
5. Passionate about food, hospitality, and sharing that passion.
6. Detail-oriented and committed to excellence.
7. Supportive team player with a growth mindset.
8. Experience with coffee, wine, or pasta is a plus, but enthusiasm is key.
