Join an Esteemed Energy Company as a Finance Business Partner
Morson are partnering with a leading Energy company looking to bring in a Finance Business Partner for a period of 6 months initially.
While this is a 6 month interim role initially, there is an excellent chance for the role to be extended or possibly become permanent for the right person.
As the Finance Business Partner, you will work alongside the Senior Business Partner and provide managers with insightful financial and performance analysis and ensures that finance processes and performance indicators are adhered to and delivered efficiently.
The Finance Business Partner will collaborate closely with senior stakeholders within the company, including those up to Director level, to ensure a comprehensive grasp of the area's financial performance and forecasts, proactively identifying and communicating potential risks. They will aim to optimise financial outcomes, challenging where necessary to enhance efficiency and providing proactive insights to drive business decisions and performance.
You will keep key stakeholders such as the Customers Executive Team, Heads of Departments, and other Senior Managers up to date monthly through the completion of month-end financial processes, with risks and opportunities affecting our Medium-Term Plan highlighted.
The primary financial focus of the role will be on Operating Costs and Capex, with potential extension to Cash and/or Gross Margin considerations.
This role is to work alongside the senior analyst in charge of reporting gross margin for the supply of energy to medium and large organisations in the UK. It involves dealing with complex calculations, providing insightful commentary and business partnering the head of these segments.

Planning and forecasting
Professional accounting qualification (CTA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent) or PQ with significant experience in a similar role
Must have experience of presenting detailed financial information to finance and non-finance audiences, adapting the message accordingly.
Experience as a Gross Margin Business Partner
Able to provide robust but diplomatic challenge to managers, based on evidence and analysis.
Able to work as part of a team across different business functions and with colleagues at different levels of seniority.
Strong digital and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Day rate up to £450 per day (inside scope)
This role has the possibility to be made permanent for the right person
Remote working with 1 day in the office each week
Location - London, office based 1 day per week
