Our current strategic focus is on sustainable growth achieved through closer integration between our UK and European machine-moving businesses. Purpose of the Role
Working from our well-established branch in Doncaster you will be involved in all movements of plant equipment. Work closely as per risk assessments and method statements, ensuring all company and client rules are adhered to. Actively engage with management in the planning, organising and delivery of work.
Role
AIS Vanguard is a well-equipped business that holds a large stock of specialized lifting and installation equipment designed to carry out our specialized engineering tasks allowing us to carry out our duties safely.
· Safely loading and securing goods on the vehicle
· Maintaining and conducting basic checks of their vehicle, including brake, oil or tyre checks.
· Planning delivery routes and schedules
· Driving large, good vehicles
· Logging delivery information correctly
· Having a strong awareness of the UK highway code
· Planning driver breaks for safety purposes during long-distance hauls
· Staying aware of any route diversions or updates to their delivery journey
· Keeping vehicles clean inside and out
· Comply with the requirements of Health and Safety, other relevant legislation and site policies.
· Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers
Main Duties
· Loading and unloading of heavy lift machinery
· Delivery of plant equipment
This list is not exhaustive, and you will be required to undertake other duties as directed by your manager.
About You
Apply if you have proven relevant experience of any of the following:
Machine Moving, Slinging, Plant Operations
Other key skills/qualifications that would be advantageous:
* Current clean HGV class 1 [C&E] & driving license
* Digital tachograph driver card
