We are offering a role at Jubilee School, Waterlooville, with a 4-Day Working Week (4DWW) option where you can work one day less each week while receiving full-time pay. This role is a permanent, term-time-only position starting January 2025. UK applicants only; sponsorship is not available.

* Location: Jubilee School, Waterlooville PO7 7RE
* Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum
* Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm
* Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only
Responsibilities
* Secure high-quality teaching, effective use of resources, and improve standards of learning and achievement for all pupils in consultation with the Headteacher.
* Teach a range of subjects as necessary to deliver the school’s curriculum.
* Undertake other identified areas of responsibility in consultation with the Headteacher to ensure effective curriculum delivery.
* Support planning and target setting to contribute to whole-school aims and pupil progress, including the use of Individual Education Plans where appropriate.
Knowledge and Understanding
* Knowledge of the school’s aims, priorities, targets, curriculum policies, and assessment/recording/reporting requirements for pupils’ attainment and progress.
* Understanding of high-quality teaching practices and strategies to sustain high standards of teaching, learning, and achievement.
* Awareness of management topics including employment law, equal opportunities, personnel, external relations, finance, and change; and the implications of the SEND code of practice for teaching and learning.
Planning and Target Setting
* Set appropriate expectations and targets for pupil achievement and teaching quality.
* Work with the Headteacher and staff to ensure IEPs are used to set subject-specific targets and match work to pupil needs.
* Plan development and resourcing for all subjects to support school aims, policies, and practices, including behaviour, discipline, bullying, and harassment; ensure plans are actionable with clear success criteria.

* UK QTS or equivalent

4DWW is subject to successful probation and is not a contractual benefit. The employer reserves the right to close the vacancy early if a high volume of applications are received. You’ll work 80% of your contractual hours for 100% of your pay.
