More About The Role
We're looking for someone to join our Waste Team here in Supply Chain, as a Project Specialist.
In this role you will be operating at the heart of one of the key priorities for the business. You will be able to have direct influence and impact on the waste cost for supermarkets, driving forward our cost saving and sustainability initiatives.
Key responsibilities will include;
* Introducing new processes & providing helpful data to our supply chain & trading teams to improve our forecast accuracy
* Equipping our fresh business teams with clear processes & actions to optimise the execution of events forecasting
* Following ideas to reduce waste through improved forecasting from initial idea to end outcome
* Playing a part in forming the Now Soon Later plan to reduce waste/total loss, and leading elements of this plan across our fresh business teams
* Challenging stakeholders to improve forecast accuracy
* Owning the governance and controls around the level of forecast interventions we are making as a business, and the rationale for these
This role is based at our fantastic head office in Bradford where you will work a hybrid working pattern, with the expectation that you will be on-site 3 days a week. Boasting an on-site restaurant, coffee shop, convenience and sample store, prayer room, free parking and regular company-wide events and promotions. Ideally, applicants will live within a reasonable distance of our office.

About You
We're looking for candidates that:
* Are experienced in using large sets of data to identify & analyse problems
* Have experience learning & using different systems
* Are comfortable communicating with and challenging in a constructive way a variety of different stakeholders
* Will work independently to identify opportunities to reduce our waste
* Is able to drive actions & initiatives to completion
* Is able to hold key stakeholders to account on key plan deliverables
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google applications and report writing
* Ability to monitor, assess and manage own and category performance
