Our client, based in Thatcham, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accounts Assistant to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with solid accounting knowledge and a proactive attitude to contribute to both day-to-day financial operations and wider business processes. You will be required to be in the office 3 days a week minimum.
Shift:
* Flexible Working Hours
* Monday to Friday
* Potential for Hybrid Working
Pay:
* £30,000 to £35,000 per annum (Depending on Experience)
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the finance team with a wide range of accounting tasks.
* Manage aged receivables and proactively chase outstanding invoices.
* Liaise confidently with clients and stakeholders over the phone and via email.
* Assist with the preparation of management accounts and financial reports.
* Handle VAT returns and contribute to monthly/quarterly budgeting processes.
* Perform P&L reviews and financial analysis.
* Work with NetSuite and other finance software to ensure smooth operations.
* Streamline administrative and accounting processes.
* Support and cover for other administrative team members as needed.
* Reconcile payroll and employee expenses.
Requirements:
* Accounting qualifications (AAT/part-qualified ACA/ACCA or equivalent).
* Strong working knowledge of NetSuite is beneficial.
* Confident communicator with a professional and friendly phone manner.
* Demonstrated experience in credit control and client liaison.
* Self-motivated and quick to learn, with excellent organisational skills.
