Job Title: Contract Commercial Manager
CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Contract Commercial Manager to support one of our largest UK accounts. The role is hybrid, mainly based at our Leeds Gateway office, with some UK travel expected.
As a Contract Commercial Manager, your responsibilities include:
1. Providing commercial support to delivery operations, focusing on risk minimization and contributing to profitable growth through expert commercial knowledge and negotiation skills.
2. Line managing a Change Co-Ordinator.
3. Managing the commercial relationship with the customer, collaborating with internal teams in operations, procurement, and finance.
4. Implementing and applying robust commercial processes to ensure contractual compliance and policy adherence.
5. Managing contract changes promptly and effectively.
6. Leading negotiations for future contract renewals/extensions.
7. Delivering commercial awareness training to operational teams.
8. Providing strategic commercial guidance to senior management.
Responsibilities include:
Commercial Acumen
* Acting as a technical specialist on commercial issues such as contract terms, commercial model optimization, change management, project contracts, supplier terms, and operational performance.
* Educating operational teams on commercial issues and providing guidance.
* Building and maintaining a commercial relationship with the customer, managing SLA performance, change control, and dispute resolution.
* Acting as a trusted advisor between operational and support teams.
Business Development
* Ensuring project tenders are commercially sound and compliant with governance.
* Supporting procurement negotiations with suppliers.
* Fostering open customer relationships for effective negotiations.
Operational Delivery
* Ensuring commercial elements of contracts are properly implemented.
* Maintaining profit margins through contractual compliance.
* Developing key customer contacts and supporting project promotion.
* Resolving disputes with suppliers and customers to prevent escalation.
Supplier Management
* Supporting procurement to meet strategic needs.
* Managing supplier relationships and performance.
* Promoting the use of preferred suppliers.
Accountabilities: Reporting to the Divisional Commercial Director and Alliance Director.
Person Specification:
* Excellent negotiation skills, confident in managing conflicts.
* Strong presentation skills and ability to build relationships.
* Influential, approachable, and able to win over stakeholders.
* Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize under high workload.
* Decisive with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Experience managing and negotiating contract changes is preferred.
* Ability to meet deadlines and commitments.
* Approximately 5 years of relevant industry experience preferred.
