Purpose
: Here at Deichmann we are looking to appoint a Trainee Store Manager.
You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis and in return will receive an initial salary of £30,500 per annum.
Initially based in a store on the district, following training you will support and hold stores either on a planned or adhoc basis across the surrounding area including Ilford, Eastham, Stratford, Walthamstow, Woolwich, and Lewisham.
Ideal candidate: This is an exciting opportunity for a successful and ambitious Team Member or Supervisor, looking to progress their career into Store Management.
You will undergo first-class training and development, including holding stores on a planned and ad hoc basis with a view to potentially becoming a Cover Manager at the end of your training, and then potentially progressing to Store Manager of your own store.
You must be fully flexible in terms of travel, as you will be working in various stores. You should have previous experience in retail or a related sector, be able to problem-solve and think on your feet. Additionally, you should be a people person, with the ability to plan and coordinate resources, and be passionate about delivering exceptional customer service.
Key activities:
* Motivate and coach the team to deliver excellent customer service
* Lead by example in promoting and recommending shoe care products, demonstrating confidence in selling and excellent product knowledge
* Resourcing/drafting rotas within budget
* Stock management
* Analyzing and interpreting sales data and reports
* Making recommendations to improve sales performance based on data and customer insights
* Ensuring all company standards are maintained (merchandising, admin)
* Supporting KPI delivery and meeting standards
* Assisting in recruitment and training of the team
