As a Senior Food Service Assistant at Sodexo sites in Dublin 1 & 16, you’ll support the preparation and serving of our vibrant meals and hot drinks and ensure that all work areas are kept glistening. Your role will involve being a kitchen assistant, hospitality assistant, barista & deli bar assistant. Your cheerful customer service skills will put a smile on people's faces and will makes an impact in their everyday lives. Join Sodexo and be part of something greater. What you'll do: Support Managers, Supervisors, Team Leads & Head Chefs with kitchen & service requirements when requested to support with an efficient service Help prepare, serve and replenish food / hot drinks from kitchen to counters for our hot plates, deli bar, coffee shops, hospitality suites & breakfast bars. Break down stations at the end of meal periods. Lead the team in ensuring all counters are ready for service – allergen documents are in place, utensils & display equipment in place, staff are appropriately dressed in clean uniform with no jewellery (please reference personal hygiene policy), correct menus are on display, seating area is clean, tea station has been replenished Clean and sanitize equipment and workstationsbefore, during & after service Interact with customers in the serving, retail, and dining areas Manage staff breaks with business needs in mind and ensure service counters are covered accordingly especially during busier periods Assist with deliveries and replenishing stock (First in, first out) Mentor new starters & agency relief staff in their role onsite and ensure induction training is completed before they work so they have the Sodexo knowledge Mentor junior members of the team to ensure they are compliant to Sodexo and business needs Be flexible in your role, and be prepared to multitask each day What you'll bring: Minimum 2 years or experience in hospitality or food service is a bonus, but we’ll give you full training!
