Are you an Environmental Test Engineer looking to apply your technical expertise within a leading UKAS/ISO 17025 accredited test laboratory? This is an excellent opportunity to work across a diverse range of high-integrity projects, ensuring products are qualified to operate in some of the most demanding environments imaginable.
The Role
As an Environmental Test Engineer, you’ll play a key role within a multi-disciplinary team supporting design and in-service surveillance activities across a wide product portfolio. You’ll plan, execute, and report on environmental tests simulating real-world conditions such as temperature, humidity, shock, and vibration – ensuring products remain safe, reliable, and fit for purpose.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan and conduct environmental testing in accordance with customer requirements and international standards (DEF STAN 00-035, MIL-STD-810, STANAG 4370, AECTP 300 & 400).
• Undertake data capture, analysis, and reporting in line with internal and client specifications.
• Use instrumentation and measurement systems including accelerometers, thermocouples, and strain gauges.
• Contribute to the development of test strategies, capability improvements, and technical reviews.
• Collaborate across engineering disciplines to ensure product compliance and integrity throughout the test lifecycle.
Skills & Experience
• HNC/HND/Degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of mechanical structures, dynamics, and analysis.
• Competent using MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for documentation and data processing.
• Experience with environmental test systems and measurement instrumentation.
• Self-motivated, methodical, and safety-conscious, with strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
