Essential Experience

Experience in translating logical designs into physical designs that meet specified requirements for capacity and performance
Good high-level knowledge/practical experience of networking protocols and technologies such as LAN (vLan, TCP), WAN (SD-WAN), Telecoms (Cloud and on prem), WLAN
Excellent analytical capability with the ability to methodically evaluate information and develop appropriate recommendations and solutions.
Ability to review and verify network designs against non-functional requirements, including validation, access, security and audit controls.
Experience of working in 2nd and 3rd line support roles specialising in Networks, Telecoms and Engineering fields.
Skills

In-depth knowledge of network protocols, standards, and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Routing, firewall policy management, network monitoring).
Proficiency in configuring and managing network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
Strong understanding of network security principles and practices, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
Excellent ability to understand and interpret customer business problems and complex technical issues, and effectively explain how a solution will align to the customer's needs or requirements.
