Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Take ownership of the production and analysis of monthly financial statements and internal reporting packs.
* Conduct thorough analysis of actuals vs budget/forecast, highlighting key drivers and areas for improvement.
* Maintain oversight of balance sheet controls, ensuring accounts are reconciled and accurately reported.
* Administer the lifecycle of fixed assets, including capitalisation and depreciation tracking.
* Prepare critical month-end entries such as accruals and deferrals to ensure accurate financial close.
* Lead the planning cycle, including the coordination of annual budgets and periodic reforecasts.
* Assist with external reporting obligations and facilitate smooth audit engagements.
* Manage compliance across indirect tax and international reporting (e.g., VAT returns, Intrastat submissions).
* Act as a finance business partner to operational teams, offering insights and decision support.
* Provide day-to-day guidance and oversight to junior finance staff, supporting their development.
* Serve as a point of contact for auditors, advisors, and other professional partners.
* Champion best practices in finance processes and contribute to systems improvements (e.g., ERP enhancements).
* Step in to support transactional finance activities where necessary to maintain service levels.
* Undertake ad hoc projects or tasks aligned to the remit of the role as directed by management.
