Commercial Manager – Minor Works

Are you a commercially driven leader with a passion for improving profitability, streamlining processes, and supporting operational excellence? We’re looking for a Commercial Manager – Minor Works to join our growing Minor Works team and play a key role in protecting margin, enhancing efficiency, and developing best‑practice commercial processes across the business.
This is a high-impact role at the heart of our Mobile Delivery function—perfect for someone who enjoys data-driven decision-making, cross-functional collaboration, and leading a small team to deliver consistently strong commercial outcomes.
What You'll Be Doing
As our Commercial Manager, you’ll:
1. Analyse client spend and contract performance to ensure commercial viability.
2. Identify and drive continuous improvement activities across Minor Works and supporting teams.
3. Build strong working relationships across operational and support departments to improve overall profitability and efficiency.
4. Provide clear, accurate commercial reporting and insights to managers and stakeholders.
5. Train and upskill operational teams to ensure commercial understanding and correct processes.
6. Assess financial risks associated with new initiatives or changes.
7. Ensure timely billing and full compliance with commercial and contractual obligations.
8. Deliver commercial guidance across the business, helping colleagues maximise value without impacting service.
9. Identify revenue opportunities and areas of commercial loss, proposing strategic improvements.
10. Produce transactional spend reports and support client invoicing.
11. Validate purchase orders, prepare quotations, and support contract mobilisation.
12. Work closely with our Supply Chain team to resolve supplier issues before they escalate.
13. Uphold company policies and ensure all work is compliant, ethical, and aligned with best practice.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who has:
14. Experience in commercial analysis, project estimation or finance, with strong administrative expertise.
15. A track record of successfully leading and developing a team.
16. Advanced Excel skills and strong capability across the Microsoft Office suite.
17. Confidence interrogating data and presenting insights.
18. Experience with Visio or similar process mapping tools (desired).
19. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
20. Strong organisational skills and high attention to detail.
21. The ability to work independently while building collaborative, respectful relationships.
22. Outstanding customer service skills and a drive for delivering quality.
A relevant degree or professional qualification is desirable but not essential.
